About PDFCreature
A free, independent PDF toolkit built around one idea: document work should not cost money, require an account, or hand your files to a stranger.
What PDFCreature is
PDFCreature is a collection of everyday document tools — merging, splitting, compressing, converting, signing, protecting and organising PDFs — plus a small set of AI helpers for summarising, chatting with and translating documents, and for improving resumes. Every tool has its own page so you can bookmark the one you use most. Start from the tool directory on the homepage.
How your files are handled
The classic PDF tools run entirely in your browser using WebAssembly-backed PDF libraries, so the file never leaves your device — you can watch the network tab and see nothing uploaded. The AI tools are the exception: they need a language model, so extracted text travels over HTTPS to be processed, and it is not retained for training. Nothing is kept permanently, and there is no document library or upload history. The details are in our privacy policy.
Why it is free
Because in-browser processing costs us almost nothing to run. There is no subscription, no per-file charge, no watermark and no daily limit on the browser-based tools. Modest advertising helps cover hosting and the AI features. We do not sell documents, data or email addresses.
What we do not claim
We are an independent project, not a certified enterprise vendor. We hold no ISO or SOC audit, we are not affiliated with Adobe, Microsoft or Google, and we publish no invented user counts or reviews. For regulated material such as medical or legal records, use software your organisation has formally approved.
Talk to us
Bug reports, missing features and awkward files that break a tool are all genuinely useful to us. Send them through the contact page, or browse the blog for guides on getting more out of each tool.
