Disclaimer
What PDFCreature promises, what it does not, and how to use the results responsibly.
General information only
Everything published on PDFCreature — the tool pages, the guides in our blog and the help text inside each tool — is provided for general information. It is written from practical experience with document formats, not as professional, legal, financial or medical advice, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional in your own jurisdiction.
No warranty on output
The tools are provided 'as is'. Conversion between formats is inherently lossy: a scanned page turned into text by OCR, a PDF rebuilt as a Word or Excel document, or a heavily compressed file can differ from the original in layout, fonts or exact wording. Always open the result and compare it against your source file before you sign, submit, print or distribute it, and keep an untouched copy of the original.
Browser-based processing limits
Most tools run entirely inside your browser tab, so speed and the maximum practical file size depend on your own device's memory and processor. A very large or unusually complex document may take a long time or fail on a low-memory phone while working fine on a desktop. A failed job is a limitation of the environment, not data loss — your original file is untouched.
AI-generated results
The summariser, PDF chat, translator and resume tools are powered by language models. Their output can be incomplete, oversimplified or occasionally wrong, and a translation may miss legal or technical nuance. Treat AI results as a first draft to review, never as a verified statement of what a document says. Do not use them for decisions that require certainty about the source text.
Your responsibility for content
You are responsible for having the right to process every file you open in PDFCreature, and for complying with the laws that apply to it. Do not use the tools to alter documents in a way that misrepresents them, to remove protection from files you do not own, or to process material you are not permitted to handle.
External links
Some pages link to third-party websites, specifications or software for further reading. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices or availability. Following an external link means leaving PDFCreature and accepting the other site's own terms.
Advertising
PDFCreature is funded by advertising so the tools can stay free. Adverts are supplied by third-party networks and their appearance on a page is not an endorsement, recommendation or review by us of the advertiser, its products or its claims. Any dealing you have with an advertiser is strictly between you and them.
No affiliation
PDFCreature is an independent project. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Adobe, Microsoft, Google or any other company whose product names or file formats are mentioned on this site. Those names are used purely to describe file compatibility.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDFCreature and its maintainers accept no liability for loss of data, loss of profit, or any indirect or consequential damage arising from use of the site, its tools or its published guides.
